Foundation Meets Donation Goal in 24 Hours

The Carson City Library Foundation met its goal of collecting 16 artificial Christmas trees within 24, thanks to the community's generosity and quick response. The donated trees will help create a New York “Tavern on the Green” atmosphere at the Foundation’s New Year’s Eve party, scheduled December 31 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm this year at the State Library and Archives. Each month the Carson City Chamber of Commerce and Carson City Parks & Recreation team up with community members for a morning of beautifaction. All participants receive goodies of some form or another. For instance, today we got breakfast goodies, and t-shirts and lunch from Carson City's new Anytime Fitness.
